Relationship Therapy

Relationship Therapy: is it right for us?

If you and your partner struggle with any of the following, couple therapy may be extremely beneficial:

  • communication issues ( having the same fight over and over again, bringing up the past, constantly feeling unheard or misunderstood)

  • intense jealousy

  • anger outbursts

  • avoidance or shutting down

  • hopelessness

  • reduced intimacy

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • infidelity

  • difficulty connecting after the birth of a child

If you are coming to relationship therapy hoping I will “fix” your partner, you will probably be disappointed. I truly believe the work lies within. We don’t actually have the power to change anyone but ourselves. I help my couples recognize the role they play in the current relationship dynamic in order to take the necessary steps to restore or finally achieve relational balance. The ultimate goal for my couples is increased intimacy, connection, and security.

Who is right and who is wrong? Who cares? You are both on the same team.

High-Conflict Love

Listen, not every couple goes through that wonderful honeymoon stage. Some couples love each other fiercely from the very beginning, but also fight each other with just as much fire.

I want to help you two realize that the passion, the desire that keeps bringing you back to each other, is often the same fire that burns you. We don’t need to put that fire out, but you do need to learn how to harness it. Together.

If you two are ready to take the next step because you are tired of feeling stuck, let’s talk.
